Chimney Animal Removal · San Antonio

Getting them out is only half the job. We keep them out too.

Birds, squirrels, and raccoons love an open chimney, it's a warm, sheltered spot to nest. But a trapped animal can block your flue, leave droppings and parasites, cause a real smell, and even become a fire hazard.

We remove them safely and humanely, check that no babies are left behind, clear out any nests, and then do the part most people skip: seal the chimney with a cap so the next animal can't move in. Removal plus prevention, in one visit.

Humane Removal

We get the animal out safely and check for nests or young left behind, no cruelty, no shortcuts.

Cleared & Cleaned

Nests, debris, and droppings removed, so your flue is clear, safe, and free of the smell and blockage.

Sealed So It Stays Empty

We cap and seal the opening, backed by our 3-year warranty, so you're not calling us again next season.

Out, Then Kept Out

How We Handle an Uninvited Guest

Removal is step one. The steps most companies skip, checking for young, cleaning, and sealing, are what keep it from happening all over again.

Step 01

Identify & Assess

We confirm what's in there, bird, squirrel, or raccoon, and whether there's a nest or young to account for

Step 02

Remove Humanely

The animal is removed safely and humanely, the right way, legally, and with any babies accounted for

Step 03

Clear & Clean

Nests, droppings, and debris are removed so your flue is clear, and the smell and blockage go with them

Step 04

Seal It Off

We install or repair a cap to close the opening for good, so nothing moves back in next season

Anyone can pull an animal out. Sealing it so they never come back is what actually solves the problem.

Heard Something Up There?

Signs You Have a Chimney Guest

Animals in a chimney give themselves away. If any of these sound familiar, you've likely got a visitor, and the sooner it's handled, the better.

Scratching or Rustling

Scratching, scrabbling, or rustling sounds coming from the chimney, especially at dawn or dusk, usually mean something is moving around in there.

Chirping or Flapping

Birds chirping, or the sudden flap of wings inside the flue, is a clear sign of a bird, or a whole nest of them, that's gotten in and can't get out.

A Foul Smell

A strong, unpleasant odor from the fireplace can mean droppings, a nest, or sadly an animal that's become trapped and needs removing right away.

Debris in the Firebox

Twigs, leaves, feathers, or droppings appearing in your firebox are nesting material falling down from an animal setting up home above.

Smoke That Won't Draw

If smoke suddenly backs up into the room, a nest or animal may be blocking the flue. Don't keep burning, that's a safety risk, get it checked.

Activity at the Top

Seeing birds or squirrels repeatedly landing on or disappearing into your chimney top? They've likely found a way in, or are about to.

The longer an animal stays, the more mess, smell, and risk it leaves behind. Fast, humane removal is best for everyone, including the animal.

Safe, Humane, Sealed

How the Removal Actually Works

Calm, careful, and done right, from the first call to a sealed chimney that stays empty.

1

Call & Assess

Tell us what you're hearing or seeing. Call (726) 259-1693 or text, and we'll come out to identify the animal and how it got in. The estimate is free.

2

Remove the Right Way

We get the animal out safely and humanely, checking carefully for a nest or young so nothing gets left behind. Certain birds are protected, and we handle those by the book.

3

Clear the Flue

We remove the nest, droppings, and debris so your chimney is clean, unblocked, and safe to use again, no lingering smell, no fire hazard from a clogged flue.

4

Seal It So It Stays Empty

The step that actually solves it: we install or repair a cap to close the opening for good. All work by certified & insured technicians, backed by our 3-year warranty.

Why Call a Chimney Pro, Not Just Pest Control

Removal Is Easy. Keeping Them Out Is the Skill.

A pest company removes the animal and leaves. We handle the whole problem, chimney and all.

Humane, Every Time

We remove animals safely and humanely and always check for young. No cruelty, and we handle protected species by the book.

We Seal, Not Just Remove

The reason it doesn't come back: we cap and seal the chimney. A pest company leaves the door open; we close it for good.

We Know Chimneys

We understand how flues, caps, and crowns actually work, so we spot every way in and fix the chimney itself, not just the symptom.

Certified, Insured & Warrantied

All work by certified & insured technicians, backed by a 3-year workmanship warranty. If they find a way back in, we make it right.

Animal Removal Questions

Animal Removal FAQ

Straight answers about getting them out, and keeping them out.

Most commonly birds, squirrels, and raccoons, and sometimes bats. An open, uncapped chimney is a warm, sheltered spot that looks like an ideal place to nest. Whatever's found its way in, we can remove it safely and seal the chimney so the next one can't.
Yes, always. We remove animals safely and humanely, and we check for a nest or babies so nothing is left behind to suffer. Some species, like chimney swifts, are federally protected, and we handle those strictly by the law.
This is the part that matters most: after removal, we install or repair a chimney cap to seal the opening. A proper cap keeps animals, rain, and debris out for good. Without it, you're just waiting for the next one, which is why removal alone isn't a real fix.
A strong odor with no sound can mean droppings, an abandoned nest, or an animal that's died in the flue. It won't clear on its own and can be a health and blockage issue, so it's worth having us come clear and clean it out, then seal the chimney.
It's risky. Some animals can't climb back out of a slick flue and will get trapped and die in there, leaving a smell and a blockage. Nesting animals may also have young. It's better, and kinder, to have it removed promptly and the chimney sealed than to wait and hope.
Please don't. Lighting a fire with an animal in the chimney is dangerous and inhumane, and a nest can catch fire or block the flue and push smoke back into your home. Leave the fireplace unused and give us a call, we'll handle it the safe way.
Yes. Along with the animal, we clear out the nest, droppings, and debris so your flue is clean and safe to use again. If there's heavy buildup, we may recommend pairing it with a sweep, but we'll always tell you upfront.
We know a trapped animal is stressful, for you and for it, so we move quickly. Call or text us and we'll get you scheduled as soon as we can. The fastest way to get help is to reach out directly rather than wait.
